Bryston Deleeuw - Slab Shapes

Costa Mesa, California

One name, several jobs. Bryston Deleeuw is the builder behind Slab Shapes, with a practice that often takes a board all the way from blank to finished glass. Shaping, laminating, sanding. He has put time into the whole thing.

That approach brought him into the SOMOS residency: a boardbuilder comfortable getting involved beyond the shaping bay. Follow a board through every stage and you get closely acquainted with your own decisions. Plenty of work before the signature. Plenty of reason to stand behind it.
