Ours start with specialty coffee and pastries fresh from our oven. Local produce, fresh meat, and line-caught fish take care of the rest. Nothing added that doesn’t belong.

At the foot of the compound, our courtyard is where the house meets Santa Teresa. Everyone passes through the restaurant on their way to their room or out into town. Plenty get sidetracked.

An all-day menu keeps things easy, with something for every appetite. Come evening, settle in for a proper dinner. Plates worth lingering over. Cocktails from our Airstream turned bar. A few reasons to stay put.

Every soda, syrup, juice, and infusion is made right here, with fresh herbs, roots, and fruit grown nearby.

Leave the compound. Follow the smell of butter. EL SOMOS CAFÉ is our spot out in town, right on Santa Teresa’s main strip.

Third-wave coffee, brewed fresh daily. Costa Rica’s best beans, paired with small-batch pastries baked in-house every morning. Buttery croissants, something sweet for the road, and crumbs all over your shirt. The best pastries in town. Even the French can’t argue with that.

There’s a tight selection of goods and boards, too. In case your coffee stop gets out of hand.

No frills. Just damn good coffee.
