BB Bastidas

A skate trip at eighteen sent BB Bastidas deeper into art. Back home, friends started asking for board graphics. That path led to work for Baker, Zero and DGK, with the same restless appetite carrying him into paintings, murals and film. Southern California roots, and plenty of ground covered since.

Serpents, watchful eyes, mythical figures and cosmic patterns turn up along the way. BB moves between acrylics, cans, watercolors and graphics, giving each medium a run before chasing another idea. The scale can jump from a skateboard to the side of a building. The strangeness travels. Find a wall and give it something worth staring at. He also self proclaimed himself the head of HR for SOMOS, that should explain a lot.
