Oscar Reitan

Oscar Reitan's work brings together childish expression, raw attitude and a deep appreciation for the sacredness of simple things. Oscar’s practice is driven by energy. Through bright colour, dark humour and an instinctive visual language, his paintings hold beauty and brutality side by side, reflecting the strange balance of life itself. His work is filled with warmth, love and good intentions, but it does not soften its edges. It is honest, unfiltered and direct, carrying what he describes as the feeling of “a warm hug and a punch in the face at the same time.”
