Andy Seidensticker
San Diego, California / Costa Rica
Andy Seidensticker’s education started with ding repairs, factory work and foiling fins with Curtis Hesselgrave. Three decades of shaping followed, with Costa Rica becoming a large part of the story. His interest in epoxy construction started early. He wanted different boards under his feet, so he made them.
Through RESIN8, that curiosity has moved into hemp composites and the way a board loads, flexes and releases through a turn. He has also worked on LoveMachine production. Andy looks closely at what is happening inside the board, then takes it surfing to see what actually made a difference.
