Axel Lorentz
Saint-Jean-de-Luz, French Basque Country
Axel Lorentz started with miniature surfboards before graduating to the kind people trust with their lives. His years at Pukas included guns for Grant ‘Twiggy’ Baker and Natxo Gonzalez. Mick Fanning picked his board as runner-up in Stab in the Dark. A useful introduction.
In 2025, Axel opened his own factory in Saint-Jean-de-Luz, bringing that experience into the label carrying his name. Performance shortboards and alternative shapes share the floor. After more than twenty-five thousand boards, he still has room to try something else. The planer stays busy.
