Drew Austin - Kings Glassing

Maui raised. New York factory educated. Drew Austin joined his brother Aaron at Kings Glassing after struggling to get a start in California’s board factories. He began sanding in their Brooklyn workshop, learning through the work and helping build the operation from the inside.

The brothers brought an island upbringing into a city where a surf can involve a train ride and some very cold decisions. Their boards account for the East Coast’s fickle waves, with graphics influenced by the city. Drew’s route into the trade took a few turns. It landed him at his own workbench.
