Before Jive, Jacob Ells worked on lasers. The precise patterns he drew as an engineer eventually found their way into the geometric airbrush work wrapping his boards. Add a background in snowboarding and an early obsession with displacement hulls, and those unusual outlines start to make sense.

The Lifter and Deep Cut Ski carry that curiosity into channels, sidecuts and carefully placed foam. Jacob shapes around the way he wants to move through a wave, then keeps experimenting with the fins underneath. Spend some time on one. There’s more going on than the paint job.
