John Robichaud - Olero Surfboards

Penryn, Cornwall, England

John Robichaud builds Olero boards in small batches, by hand, with a clear interest in making more of an ordinary session. The range moves through shortboards, midlengths and logs. Classic outlines get worked over with the next wave in mind.

Take the Oracle: foam carried forward for an easier entry, with hips pulling the tail into something more responsive underfoot. Enough help getting in, enough room to push once you’re there. John has also worked with Polyola blanks, bringing another material into an already considered approach. Give the everyday waves something decent to work with.

Silhouettes of two people and three motorcycles on a beach at sunset, with the sun low over the ocean and a small thatched shelter on the right.
