Micah Beutz - SBMB Surfboards

Micah Beutz started packing boards at Christenson while he was still in high school. Factory work led into glassing, resin tints and shaping, including work with Chemistry’s Jason Bennett. Under SBMB, Surfboards by Micah Beutz, he brings the whole process under one pair of hands.

The color work deserves a closer look. Micah won SURFER’s 2019 Resin Roundup with a glass job on a Chemistry board, drawing attention to work that often sits behind somebody else’s logo. With his own boards, the shape and the resin come from the same head. Plenty happening beneath the wax.
